Abbey Rangers FC
Sun 31 Jan 12:00 - Surrey County Women's and Girls League - Under 13s Division Two Full time

Outplayed by high flying Abbey

Haslemere never got to grips with a strong Abbey side who played well in awful conditions

The home side had a great opportunity to show how far they have progressed against one of the top teams. However they were well below their best and never looked like winning once Abbey scored with a well rehearsed corner routine. Cara once again made some telling tackles and runs and Zoe, who improves every week, broke up play a number of times as Haslemere struggled to contain the away team forwards. The second goal came after Haslemere conceded a free kick which was floated into the box and finished from close range. A third soon followed again from the same corner routine.

Haslemere improved in the second half but rarely threatened the away goal. The fourth came from, you've guessed it, a 'threepeat'of the corner routine. Although the effort was there in the second half it was a disappointing display but knowing the girls they will bounce back next week. Anna, Cara and Zoe all had good games.
